For instance, if you realized that you don’t know them enough, you can have an open discussion with them and tell them that you would like your wedding party to be comprised of intimate friends. · Furthermore, if you have a very good friend who wants to be your bridesmaid but realizes that she has a lot of obligations or that the distance between the two of you is making it difficult for her to fulfill her tasks as a bridesmaid, you can revoke her role as well. Of course, this should be a candid discussion, rather than a fight!
· Before you rescind someone’s role as a bridesmaid, think twice: is the awkward conversation worth it? Would it really be that bad to have them in your wedding party? Is it worth the drama? If you feel that there is no actual trouble, it might be easier to leave things as they are.
· If you do decide to remove someone from the wedding party, consider offering them a different role – such as helping with the wedding programs or giving a reading. They might in turn be more comfortable with these roles!
