Are you looking for a destination to celebrate your mountain wedding?
Here at Blackstone Rivers Ranch, we are no stranger to destination weddings. Each wedding season we host over a hundred weddings and at least forty of those weddings are destination weddings.
The couple featured in this blog post, Lauren and Greg, traveled from New York to celebrate their wedded bliss in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
When it comes to destination weddings, sometimes our couples do not have the opportunity to tour the venue in person before their wedding day. Lauren and Greg are an example of that. Lauren sent a friend up to us in Idaho Springs. Lauren’s friend took photos of the venue and sent them to the couple. The photos below captured the first time Lauren and Greg saw the venue in person.
Though these two traveled for their wedding day, they stuck to Blackstone’s mountain vibe with their vision for the day. They chose The Wildflower Floral team to do the florals for the day and they did a wonderful job. Metal pails containing bunches of baby’s breath lined the aisle to the ceremony site. These little pails remind us of the deep mining history that the venue has.
Greg’s suit was stuck to the mountain theme as well. He wore a blue tweed, three-piece suite. The suit had almost a demin style that blended well with his boutonniere that was wrapped with twine. His brown shoes blended in so calmly with the earthy tones of the venue.
Lauren looked like a goddess amongst the green background of our Colorado wedding venue. Her crochet lace strapless gown looked right at home in the mountains.
We love all of the destination couples who get married with us each year. We love to share our love for the mountains.
