June: Warming Our Skin and Our Hearts

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

Every year since Blackstone Rivers Ranch has opened there is a time of the year that warms our skin and our hearts. That time of year would be the month of June. June in the Colorado rocky mountains is filled with perfect weather and rich green trees. While June can often be hot in Denver, it seems to be the perfect temperature in Idaho Springs. On average, the temperature at Blackstone is ten to fifteen degrees cooler than that of Denver. June is also the month with the least chance of the 15 minute rain showers we sometimes see at Blackstone Rivers Ranch. Ana and Diego, the beautiful couple featured in the photos below, got married mid June 2019. The lovely couple took advantage of the sumptuous weather and nature surrounding their wedding venue. The color of the wedding day was blue. In the first photo, you will see Diego looking dapper in a royal blue three-piece suit. His groomsmen featured the color in a lovely blue bow-ties, the accent piece of their grey suits. Across the aisle, Ana's bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses of varying styles. All of these blues contrasted with the exuberant greens of the evergreens, aspen leaves, and lush lawns, but more importantly, the blues made Ana's lace-fitted gown pop. Beyond the outstanding landscape and perfect weather, the wedding day of Ana and Diego was filled with lovely traditions and pieces of heritage. These two were married by a catholic father who wore full vestment. And the pre-dance floor entertainment consisted of an amazing mariachi band! Thank you, Ana and Diego, for sharing this lovely June day with us! And thank you to all the lovely vendors who made this happen, you'll find links to their sites below.
