Summer at the Ranch

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

Summer at the Ranch isn’t the same as summer in Denver.

Come July in Denver, you have sweltering heat and not a drop of rain in sight. While it’s true that there’s not much rain up here, it is consistently ten to fifteen degrees cooler at Blackstone Rivers Ranch than it is in the city.

I promise it’s cooler up here, but if you don’t believe me... take it from this bride. Bonnie got married in late July of 2018. As you can see in these photos, she wore a long-sleeved gown. That’s not something that would be done in Denver in late July. Bonnie’s gown is a simple column fit gown with lace cutouts and sleeves.

The other great thing about July in Idaho Springs is that everything is extremely green and lush. The trees are very alive as the wind blows through them. In the photos below you can see a shot of Bonnie hanging out with her bridesmaids amongst the green foliage. The dresses her maids are wearing are all the same dress, just different colors and tied in different ways.

The lush colors of the outdoors were carried into our sailcloth tent using greenery flower boxes set on the tables, accented by lovely salmon-blush colored linens. These linens and this greenery flattered the lush bouquets Plum Sage Flowers made for the bride.

Footers Catering did a scrumptious job catering for this event. They provide delish plated meals to every guest and a delicious dessert bar to finish off the evening.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this day so stunning! We love it when the vendors provide such a picturesque event.
