These days, wedding etiquette is far more relaxed than what it used to be. For instance, once upon a time, the number of bridesmaids one had on her wedding day had to be fully coordinated with the size of the wedding itself. These days, however, you are in charge of the “rules” and can do pretty much what you want (at least in this respect).
Why should you settle on a large wedding party? Why should you choose a small one?
We have some tips for you – continue reading and find out more.
· As we spoke of earlier the general rule of thumb used to be that the number of bridesmaids coordinated with the number of guests attending the wedding. Although not necessarily followed to the letter these days, this rule makes sense: the more guests you have, the more help you will need during the wedding day to entertain and guide them with the various questions they might have.
· Furthermore, you may also want to have a large bridal party if you have a large group of friends. This will help you ensure that nobody feels left out and that all of your closest friends will be included in the actual wedding party.
· Obviously, if you want to plan a very intricate wedding or if you don’t have a lot of time at your disposal for minute tasks, having a larger wedding party can also come in handy, as you will be able to relay the tasks to your friends.
· So, why would you need a smaller wedding party? Well, you might decide on this because you simply want to have an intimate wedding and don’t necessarily want to organize a lot of bridesmaids (which, yes, can be a challenge). Plus, choosing dresses for just a few close friends can be much easier than trying to keep everyone happy in a large bridal party. If you appreciate organization, comfort, and intimacy, you will find that a smaller wedding party is the best choice for you.
